About the room

Looking for Female Roommate! 1 Private Bedroom available in a 3-level townhouse with a rooftop terrace! (If this ad is up, it’s available- please read all the way through)

Are you looking for a place that’s stable, safe, family-oriented — and doesn’t make you question your life choices every night? Great news: we’re a fun-loving mom + pre-teen daughter duo on the lookout for one more awesome human to join our cozy, vibrant, and welcoming home!

What’s Available:

I’m currently in the small bedroom but I’m listing both rooms because I don’t mind switching. Honestly, I’m more interested in finding the right roommate than fussing over which room I get. If you’re interested in the smaller bedroom, it’s definitely an option!

Option 1: Master Bedroom with its own little private balcony, and a walk-in closet, perfect for some extra chill time and space. $1350 plus 25% utilities.

Option 2: A cosy, smaller room with its own charm, plus a big private storage nook just across from the room, perfect for your extras. And don’t worry, we also have a shared garage locker for even more storage. Rent is $1100 plus 25% utilities.

  • Access to two shared bathrooms - one full, one half (because nobody wants a line-up).
  • Chill living room where you’re welcome to hang or hide.
  • Shared kitchen that’s fully stocked, unless you want to bring your own gadgets.
  • In-house laundry — no coins needed!
  • Epic rooftop patio — access is through my daughter’s room, so we’ll just set some easy ground rules.

Neighborhood Perks:

  • Located in Davenport Village (Junction-Wallace Emerson area) — basically a vibe and a half.
  • Walk to groceries, parks, cute shops, good eats, and basically all the coffee you need.

The Fine Print:

  • Move-in: June 1st (but we’re flexible if you are awesome!).
  • First and last month’s rent
  • Room will be unfurnished when our current roommate leaves, but if furniture shopping feels like a soul-crushing task, we can hook you up.
  • We have a part-time dog! Hope you’re a fan of furry friends.
  • Overnight guests: Limited to long-term partners or close friends/family only. Any overnight stays would need to happen in your room, as there really isn’t another space in the house that works. I just ask for heads-up, and good, honest communication.

About the roomies

We’re a lively, easygoing pair of gals who like cooking, hosting friends, and binge-watching Gilmore Girls (guilty as charged). Weekends are our time to be out and about. If you’re okay with a mix of quiet evenings, some early-evening chatter with guests, and the option to keep to yourself or join in, we might be a good fit! We believe in kindness, honesty, letting the little things slide — and solving problems with words, not passive-aggressive Post-it notes.

We love a clean, tidy house (I’m usually the stickler), but sometimes my daughter’s clutter sneaks in during busy times — but it never stays long! I’m totally upfront about cleaning responsibilities and will always tell it like it is. Hope you’re the same!

You’ll regularly see my daughter’s dad in the house — he lives up north but visits in his mobile home, and he is around often to spend time with her and lend a hand. We have a friendly, co-parenting dynamic (think of him as a helpful, respectful neighbor who’s part of the village). It adds to the supportive and easygoing vibe of the home.

Please send me an email answering the following questions (No novel necessary — bullet points are cool!). I might not get back to every email (sorry!), but I promise to read them all — probably while microwaving my third cup of tea.

  1. How long are you looking to stay?
  2. What does a typical weekday/weekend look like for you?
  3. What’s your dream living situation?
  4. Biggest roommate pet peeves? (We don’t judge.)
  5. Any experience living with kids/teens or small humans?
