About the room
I am renting out my room for the summer. It is a furnished apartment with a common area, a kitchen, and two rooms. Essentials like a microwave, a sofa, a dining table and chairs, a refrigerator, stove are provided for the common area. You will have your room with a bed, a mattress, a table and chair, a closet, a mirror, and a cabinet. The room is well lit and well ventilated.
The apartment complex is pretty safe as it can be accessed with a fob. Also, there are laundry, gym, and study spaces provided on-site. Building managers are present all the time, so if you get locked out of the apartment or room, you can easily reach out to them. The apartment has a lot of storage space. Wifi, electricity bill, and water bill are all included in the rent.
It is a 2-minute walk from the closest bus stop, a 3-minute walk from Safeway, and a 10-minute bus ride from NoFrills. It is a 10-minute walk from the UofA campus. Moreover, the apartment is on Whyte, so many restaurants and cafes are nearby.
About the roomies
It is a two-bedroom apartment, and you will be sharing the apartment with two people, BUT for only the first 6 weeks (May to mid-June). After that, you will have the entire apartment to yourself till the end of August. Additionally, you will be paying $650 for the first one and a half months because there will be three people sharing the apartment; from mid-June, the rent will be $970 because you will have the entire apartment to yourself.
It is a parent-daughter duo who are living in the apartment. They are not loud, and donβt make any mess. They also remain outside for most of the day. They donβt drink or smoke. It is preferred to maintain quiet hours from 11 PM-7 PM. They are very warm and welcoming.
