About the room
So I currently live in a rooming style house, but my roommate is moving out (due to some personal matters). Which means there is now a private room available for rent.
The room is on the main floor of a house in the West End. The main floor also includes a half bathroom, a washer and dryer, and a shared kitchen. Rent is $650, including all utilities. A damage deposit of $325 is also required upon moving in. The house also includes a large fully fenced in backyard, with a privacy screen and keyed lock at the back, as well as a fire pit for everyone to enjoy! The front yard is also fully fenced in, without a lock or privacy screening.
I currently rent 2 of the 3 rooms upstairs (3rd room is used for storage by owner as of right now), with my 2 dogs (a 7 year old female German Sheppard and a 4 year old male Jack Russel). There is also a full bathroom upstairs, that is available for you to shower/bathe in (otherwise the upstairs is essentially “my space”).
What I’m looking for in a roommate: ● someone without any pets of their own but loves dogs (and isn’t afraid of big dogs especially) ● preferably someone with some sort of employment (whether that be part time, full time, or even casual) or a student ● either male or female is fine, but no couples ● not a messy individual, I like things fairly tidy (but not a “neat freak” as my dogs make perfect cleanliness almost impossible) ● easy going, open minded, and adaptable and of course trustworthy (don’t want to have to worry about my things going missing and such).
There will be an application to fill out online, in which there is a small fee, but is then refundable if accepted. The landlord/owner must approve the individual as well of course.
If this sounds like it might be a good match for you, come on down and check us all out! Look forward to meeting with you 🙃
About the roomies
There is just currently myself in the house now. I am a 36 year old female, with 2 dogs. I have no children. My dogs are my kids essentially, they are my life. I just recently sold my RV, and bought a car. And am now actively looking for a job (not entirely sure of what exactly, but am looking nonetheless). I have been employed full time since I was 13, up until Covid, at which point my life went “straight sideways”, to say the least. I have been on Social Assistance for the last couple of years or so, but am hoping to get off it and back into the work force. The last position I held was a Radiation Surveyor at the Canadian Nuclear Laboratories out by Pinawa. I do have a cleaning company I still operate a bit on the side as well. I have also obtained a Bachelor of Science Major from the University of Manitoba.
