We are looking to purchase a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom condo at The News on Broadcast Hill complex. This will be for our 24 year old son who has a mild cognitive delay to be shared with a supportive roommate. The roommate will be paid to provide supports such as cooking together, spending time doing fun activities ie: bowling, swimming, ensuring he comes home and also that he gets to his day program. The complex has a pool, hottub, gym, party room and tennis courts. You will have your own underground parking spot. Essentially we are hiring for a responsible buddy for our son. We are looking for someone fun, responsible, a good communicator who enjoys spending time with our son. As he will be out of the home most of the day during the week, you can have a day job. We can also have him home a few nights each month and will also have respite workers take him to do fun things sometimes as well. He has built relationships with a couple respite workers so he will want to continue that and it will also give you a break.

Our son is 24 years old and attends a day program, one-on-one Monday-Friday with PASC. He loves music and spends time at the U of C radio station, CJSW making music. He has a great sense of humour, loves to ride his electric bike, camping, lego, gaming, attending music events, building things in our workshop (we live in Coach Hill), swimming, bowling, creating electronic music, he plays hockey, etc. He is learning to cook and can make a few things on his own.
