Please note that the photo of the room is outdated; there are new furniture and paint, and the room is available starting from May 4th. The piano in the photo is removed.

We are thinking about renting out a spare room that is located in University Crescent.

It is within a 10 - minute walking distance to Simon Fraser University/Fraser International College, and a 5 - minute walking distance to a grocery store, many restaurants and a bank. There is also an exercise room and a pool table/leisure room for the tenants of the apartment building.

There is a washer and a dryer in the apartment suite, as well as a kitchen with dedicated cabinet and sink spaces that we can allocate for your own use. We will provide a separate fridge/freezer for you to use, and so you won’t need to share the one we are using. Everything else in the kitchen will be shared with everyone except for the dishwasher and the dishes/cutlery/cooking pans and pots and utensils, which we would like exclusive use of – sorry.

The room and the bathroom will be occupied by only one tenant please – that means nobody else will be entering/using the bathroom and the bedroom.

The reason why we are accepting only female tenants is because the landlord (my mother) finds it very uncomfortable for a male tenant to live with her. However, please keep in mind that my mother and I (male, 32, non - student) will be living in the apartment as well.

No pets and no smoking please; if you would like to smoke, please smoke outside.

The rent includes hydro, electricity, internet and heating. Please know that a cleaning clause will be included with the contract (minimum vacuuming/cleaning per week for the room/bathroom please. We can provide the vacuum).

The furnished room includes a chair, desk with a drawer, desk lamp, bed with a mattress and a springboard, headlamp, and a clothing drawer (3 shelves). The room also has a closet.

Additional photos can be provided upon request, and a 1 - year lease contract is preferred, although negotiable.
