We have a room for rent in southeast Ottawa for March 1st, car required! (Not public transit accessible)

One unfurnished bedroom available in a newly-renovated 3 bedroom 1 bathroom farmhouse 15 minutes from downtown. The room is $850/month all-included (hydro, WiFi, water, heat, parking). The shared spaces are fully furnished and there is storage space in the basement if you need it.

The house is just off the 417, near the Mer Bleue Bog. It’s not accessible by transit (the nearest bus stop is almost an hour walk), so you’ll need a car to live here. There is plenty of parking.

Accessibility: There are steps at each entrance to the house. The main living space is all on the same floor but there is a steep staircase to access the basement, where the laundry facilities are. We all have very different sleep schedules and while we try to be considerate, if you’re a light sleeper this may not be the best fit. No dogs or adult cats (one cat in the house already). First and last required.

There are currently 3 people in the house, one couple and one single person. We are all trans and in our mid-20s. We would prefer a queer roommate but we’re open to anyone who thinks they would be a good fit.

I am a farmer who spends most of my time gardening and cooking, my boyfriend is an artist/tattoo apprentice, and our roommate loves video and tabletop game design.

This property is going to be a working vegetable farm in the coming years, and all the people currently in the house will be involved in the business in some way. We aren’t expecting a new roommate to be involved in the farm at all, but there is plenty of outdoor space if you like to garden, exercise, or hike.
