About the room
Hello! I am the tenant of a 2bed 1bath suite near Uptown, and I’m looking for a female roommate for the 2nd bedroom from Feb 1 to June 1 (start date can be as early as Jan 22, and you can leave sooner than June 1 as well).
The suite is around 700sqft and has its own washer, dryer, and dishwasher. The bedroom itself is unfurnished and the rest of the house is fully furnished, including with a full array of kitchen equipment, dishes, and appliances. There are currently no pets in the suite, but a cat is permitted and would be welcome! It has a yard with a storage shed (plenty of space in there, good for bike storage) and big covered outdoor storage area for larger items. There’s also a no-cost parking spot. It is a semi-basement/semi-ground-level suite; the entry is ground-level with no stairs into or inside the suite, and it gets much more light than a full basement suite.
The suite is in a great location, quiet and safe neighbourhood. 2-15min walk to over a dozen major bus routes that go directly to downtown, UVic, Camosun, RJH, VGH, Langford, Duncan, and Sidney/ferries. Easy walking access to grocery stores, close to Galloping Goose biking/walking trail.
About the roomies
For myself, I’m a nurse in my late 20s that works almost exclusively day shifts. I like to keep things tidy and have a well-established cleaning routine for the house. I’m quiet, laid-back, and don’t do any partying or bring strangers around. The upstairs neighbours are very polite and quiet, the landlords are also really nice. I am looking for a female roommate that is also clean, quiet, and friendly. I would like a mutually-considerate and respectful roommate relationship with open and calm communication. Nature activities like hiking and paddleboarding are a keen interest of mine, and I am equally happy to either buddy-up for shared interests or keep to myself.
The rent is $850/month, and utilities would be 50:50 split. Strictly no cigarette-smokers. Cannabis smoking/vaping not permitted indoors.
Let me know if you are interested or have any questions!
