Hi! My name is Isla (35, 🏳️‍⚧️), and I’m looking for a roommate to join me in my lovely apartment starting July 1st.

The apartment is a spacious 5 ½ unit (3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom) located in the heart of Mile End. It’s the middle unit of a triplex (not wheelchair accessible). The room for rent is a large double-room with plenty of sunlight. The apartment includes:

• In-unit laundry
• A rear balcony
• A storage shed

The living room and kitchen are fully furnished, but the bedroom is unfurnished. My office doubles as a spare bedroom for occasional guests.

Location perks:

• 3-minute walk to the 55 bus
• 15-minute walk to Laurier Metro
• 10 Mins to multiple grocery stores and excellent/affordable takeout options.

Financial Details: Rent: $917/month + utilities (hydro/internet approx. $120/month)

Move-in Date: July 1st

I’m a social queerdo and proud mum to two adorable, friendly cats. I enjoy cooking, going to movies/shows, hosting weekly board game nights with friends, and spending time with my partner (who visits a couple nights a week). I work from home and value maintaining a peaceful environment.

What I’m Looking For in a Roommate: I’m seeking someone who prioritizes cleanliness, quietness, and independence in their daily life. You should be comfortable contributing to a tidy shared space and respecting boundaries when it comes to noise levels—especially during work hours or late at night. While I occasionally host social gatherings (like board game nights), the apartment is not a regular party space.

Additional qualities I value:

Conflict resolution skills: Open communication and maturity are important when addressing any issues that arise.

Respect for animals: My cats are part of the household; if you aren’t comfortable with pets or midnight feline antics, this isn’t the apartment for you.

Long-term renter preferred: Stability is key; I’m prioritizing someone who plans to stay for at least a year or longer.
