Hello! My name is Isla, 35 🏳️‍⚧️. My best friend/current roommate purchased a condo with her partner, and I am looking for someone to fill her room for February 1st.

The space is a 5 1/2 (3-bedroom, 1 bathroom) apartment. It’s the middle unit of a triplex, so not wheelchair accessible, unfortunately. Room for rent is a large double-room that gets plenty of sunlight. There is in-unit laundry, a rear balcony, and a storage shed. The living room and kitchen are fully furnished, but the bedroom is not.

My office doubles as a spare bedroom, just in case.

It’s located in the middle of the Mile End, 3 min walk from the 55 bus, 15 min walk to Laurier Metro, and walking distance to multiple grocery stores and excellent/affordable take away.

Financial specifics: Rent: $832.5 + utilities, increasing to $864 + utilities July 1st 2025. Move-in Date: February 1st (possibility to start moving boxes mid-January)

I am a social queerdo, momma to 2 adorable, friendly cats. I like to cook, go to movies/shows, I host weekly boardgame nights with friends, and I have a partner who is over a couple nights a week. My French pre-covid was alright, but since then it’s dropped off a cliff. I work from home.

I’m looking for someone who can maintain a clean but lived in space, and enjoys both a calm/peaceful home environment and occasional social gatherings. I value the ability to address conflict openly and maturely when it comes up. Finally, you must find the sound of cats running around at midnight endearing. Long-term renter preferred.
