About the room

Roommate Sublet – 1 Bedroom Available in a Cozy, Friendly Apartment!

Looking for the perfect 4th roommate to join our warm and welcoming space in a brand-new apartment building!

🏠 Details:

Rent: $750/month (plus utilities: heat, AC, electricity, gas, water, WiFi, storage unit ~$60 - $80 per month). Furnished: The apartment is fully furnished with a comfy living room (complete with gaming consoles) and a well-stocked kitchen (appliances, cookware, and tools). The bedroom will be unfurnished so you can make it your own!

Bathroom: You’ll share the bathroom with one other roommate who works full-time. He’s very clean, quiet, and responsible. The bathroom is stocked with towels, toilet paper, and a shower curtain, you’ll just need to bring your personal toiletries.

Extras: We provide basic household necessities (toilet paper, hand soap, laundry supplies, etc.), and split the cost for everyone’s convenience. Parking: Available around the building.

📸 Note About Photos: Any personal items you see in the bedroom for rent will be removed prior to your move-in, so the space will be ready for you! The living room is also being reorganized and tidied as our current roommates are moving out. We have a shared bookshelf in the living room where you’re welcome to store any extra items.

🚍 Location Perks: Our apartment is in a super convenient location for students and working professionals!

The bus stop is right outside our apartment building, and it’s about a 2-minute bus ride to the CTrain station. The University of Calgary is just a 5-minute bus ride away, and if you prefer walking, it’s definitely doable in the warmer months. There are tons of amenities in walking distance, including Walmart, Winners, Best Buy, restaurants, spas, and more shops and services still being built. Our apartment building includes a gym and a workroom space for tenants, so you’ll have access to both at no extra cost!

📄 Lease Information: We’re looking for someone interested in a SHORT-TERM stay (3-4 months), and priority will be given to those willing to sign the lease for 4 months. Rent payments of $750 are due on the last day of each month and will be paid directly to me for simplicity, and utilities prices will always be shared at least 3 weeks in advance.

There is a $100 deposit required to secure the space if you’re interested in moving in. This deposit can either be used toward your first month’s rent (bringing it to $680) or returned to you at the end of the lease, provided everything is in good condition!

Along with signing the apartment lease, we also have a personal roommate agreement that everyone signs. This is a simple document to make sure everyone, including us, is held accountable for keeping a respectful, comfortable home. It covers things like shared chores, respecting quiet hours, and how we handle shared spaces and costs!

🐾 Must Love Cats: We have a sweet senior kitty who’s super friendly and chill, usually lounging in our bedroom or on his cat tree! He isn’t aggressive at all, but he may beg for food (he’s a bit spoiled!).

🌈 What We’re Looking For:

A queer-friendly roommate who is tidy, respectful, and responsible. Someone who appreciates a laid-back, comfortable home environment. Someone who will respect quiet hours (11:00PM - 6:00AM), as most of us are students and we all know what late night studying can be like.

If this sounds like a good fit, reach out! We’d love to meet you, show you the space, and chat about living together. 😊

About the roomies

👋 About Us: There are currently three of us living in the unit—my partner and I (both 21) share the master bedroom, and our third roommate occupies the other bedroom. We’re all full-time students and/or working professionals, and we’re looking for someone who will fit right in with our relaxed, friendly vibe.

I’m a social work student at the University of Calgary, and my partner is studying software development at SAIT. We’re both originally from a small town, and the city is new to us. We love exploring Calgary, going out for dinners with friends, and finding fun things to do!

We’re quiet, friendly, and down-to-earth, and we like to keep a chill vibe at home. We’re okay with drinking and smoking, but we prefer no large gatherings or smoking inside. We try to keep things tidy (without being clean freaks!) and we all pitch in with chores to keep the common spaces nice!

The lease for the apartment ends at the end of March, 2026. Myself and my partner will be moving back to BC, but the apartment management has always been amazing and there is opportunity to resign the lease! If this is of interest to you, please be advised that you will have to resign and look for new roommates yourself, and you will have to complete another screening with the apartment complex. This includes paying a damage deposit
