About the room
- Rent is $865 a month, plus $50 a month for utilities. (that includes hydro, gas, and internet)
- The room is 9.5 feet both ways, with a 7’x2’ closet. It faces Southward.
- 10 to 15 minute walk to Sperling Skytrain station, and even closer for bus stops. A gas station, 7-11, and multiple food places within walking distance. Easy Skytrain ride to Brentwood or Lougheed Mall.
- The room is furnished with a twin bed, a desk, a dresser, and with a side table, I am just waiting for the current roommate in the room to send me pictures. (I don’t want to invade her privacy and take pictures while she’s not here). The rest of the house is fully furnished, and any shared spaces can be used.
- There are two washers and dryers in the house (one set upstairs, one set in the basement), along with a dishwasher and all other standard appliances. We also have an AC unit in the living room to keep the house bearable in the summer
- There are two cats in the house, but the one upstairs does not play nicely with other animals, so we have to keep them separate. For this reason, we cannot allow any more animals into the house, unless it’s the kind that stays in a cage/aquarium/terrarium.
- There is space for a car in the carport, or there is street parking. We’re not on a main road, so parking is very safe.
- There’s a big backyard with seating and a patio.
- We are cannabis friendly, but all smoking/vaping/whatever needs to be done outside and away from open doors or windows.
- If you’re looking for a place to hang out and make friends, this is ideal. You’re allowed to have friends over and decorate your space how you like, so long as you are still respectful of other people and their surroundings
About the roomies
- There are 4 of us, two females upstairs (where the room is available), and a female and male in the basement. The floors are separated, so the upstairs is only shared among the three people up there.
- We are all big nerds! We love to play board games, card games, video games, roleplaying games, etc. We’re all pretty quiet for the most part, but we do host friends once or twice a week for DnD.
- I have a Costco card, so we normally take a group trip once or twice a month
