About the room
- Rent is $840 a month, plus $50 a month for utilities. (that includes hydro, gas, and internet)
- The room is 9.5 feet both ways, with a 7’x2’ closet. It faces Southward.
- 10 to 15 minute walk to Sperling Skytrain station, and even closer for bus stops. A gas station, 7-11, and multiple food places within walking distance
- I am currently working on furnishing the room. I will have a twin bed with mattress, a side table, a desk, and a chair. Pictures will be posted once I can get the furniture in. The rest of the house is fully furnished, and any shared spaces can be used.
- There are two washers and dryers in the house (one set upstairs, one set in the basement), along with a dishwasher and all other standard appliances. We also have an AC unit in the living room to keep the house bearable in the summer
- There are two cats in the house, but the one upstairs does not play nicely with other animals, so we have to keep them separate. For this reason, we cannot allow any more animals into the house, unless it’s the kind that stays in a cage/aquarium/terrarium.
- There is space for a car in the carport, or there is street parking. We’re not on a main road, so parking is pretty safe.
- There’s a big backyard with seating and a patio.
- We are cannabis friendly, but all smoking/vaping/whatever needs to be done outside and away from open doors or windows.
- The room is officially available on January 1st, but the room is empty now, and stuff can be moved in.
About the roomies
- There are 4 of us, two females upstairs (where the room is available), and a female and male in the basement.
- We are all big nerds! We love to play board games, card games, video games, roleplaying games, etc. We’re all pretty quiet for the most part, but we do hosts friends once or twice a week for DnD.
- I have a Costco card, so we normally take a group trip once or twice a month
