About the room
Note: two things, 1. my room is messy in the pictures because I had just moved in, 😅I will have better pictures of the bathroom and room and share space soon. 2. I made this account on my own but my roommate will have the account details so you’ll be be able to reach her directly if you text to chat with me.
This property is 7 minutes away from a station and 20 minutes away from SFU by bus. It’s in a quiet neighborhood and the walk back home after dark is not bad. It’s near a YMCA and there are many great fast food places or restaurants near by.
BC hydro varies during winter but you will have another female student (it’s a two bedroom) to be paying the prices with on a 1-2month basis. Winters, your individual price could be $80 (high due to heating usage) and summers it drops down to $30-60.
There is also internet that is at a fixed cost of $50 dollars. But it’s very fast and efficient and will never drop so it’s been a reasonable price.
There’s also renter’s insurance which you will discuss with my friend who you’ll be living with. For me it has been $15 a month. There’s no shared bathroom you’ll have your own and maybe you can have a conversation about getting a couch together as there’s not one. There is a dining table though with seats that works out fine in the shared space.
So the additional costs for the unit add up to $145-$165 (the flactuation would be due to BC hydro)
When you contact me after we have chatted a bit, I will connect you to the person you will be living with as you will need to discuss compatibility and all that with her since you’ll be staying here. This is very lengthy I apologize but I wanted to get all the info out 😂
About the roomies
I’m a 23 year old international student, and I need to move out soon. I’m Ugandan, my roommate is Ugandan too and she’s 22 years old. When I connect you to her she can tell you more about herself but she’s tidy and clean loves anime and kpop, she’s studying psychology.
