Large Furnished room (9’ x 14’) with skylight for natural light. Full bed, shelves, chairs, desk, storage containers, and closet. I am the tenant on the lease of this rent-controlled apartment. There are no other tenants; this is not a rooming house. SINGLE occupancy only. ACCESSIBILITY: Second-floor apartment with 16-step stairway. Sharing kitchen and bathroom. In-suite Laundry for small loads, coin laundromat a few blocks away for larger items.
BUILDING & AREA: Small 2-story corner apartment building with a convenience store and 5 apartments. The apartment is in the East End of Toronto, close to Danforth. There is a 10-minute walk to 2 subway stations and a 5-minute walk to a bus stop. Bike share is located steps away from the apartment. 2SLGBTQ+ home. During pride month, the neighbourhood displays many pride flags. I feel safe in this area. Non-smoker preferred - No smoking/vaping in the apartment or close to any doors/windows. Sorry, NO PETS

About me: I’m a semi-retired older queer guy. I am friendly but keep mostly to myself. I am an urban gardener with a container vegetable garden in the parking lot. (so parking is not available) I start seedlings indoors in a greenhouse in the hallway. I co-garden with the neighbour’s downstairs, a young family with two kids. I like to drink wine with dinner and enjoy an occasional beer, so it’s not a dry household. I look after apartment cleaning. I’d just rather clean than need to deal with whose turn it is. You are responsible for your room and the dishes that you use. Messy is okay, dirty is not.
