About the room
It’s a 2 bedroom apartment on the Gorge. The building is on the water. Although we don’t have a water view, there is a picnic table at the side of the building that you can sit at that looks over the water.
You will get the largest bedroom. It measures approximately 15x8 and has a sizeable closet. You can paint your room if you like. You’ll have access to the rest if the apartment as well, which is quite spacious, except for a rather small kitchen.
Unfortunately, the apartment is not accessible. While we do have an elevator in the building, there is a flight of stairs between the elevator and our apartment. There are also stairs outside the building leading to the entrance and a significant & hilly driveway leading to the road. We live along the 11 bus route, so if you don’t have a car busing is fairly easy. If you do have a car, you will be able to get a parking spot for $20 a month.
Monthly rent includes a bi weekly cleaner. Any other chores will be divided between the two of us.
About the roomies
I’m chronically ill and don’t work anymore, but my background is in harm reduction. I’m deeply passionate about social justice issues and absolutely love have long conversations about them! I also love to learn and really enjoy hearing about others’ passions so please tell me all about yours! I spend the vast majority of my time at home. I sleep about half the day (12+ hours) and spend a lot of my waking time on the couch in the living room. I love to crochet and will probably make you something if you stick around long enough. I’m very open to do communal meals and sharing food! I’m vegetarian , but I dont mind if you eat meat. My favourite thing to cook lately has been soup.
I value open and honest communication. I have a gentle, but direct communication style and feel pretty comfortable working through conflicts.
I’m looking for someone who is still practicing covid safety and masking in public spaces.
