Hi! I’m looking for a responsible, clean, and like-minded roommate to share the house with starting November 1st.

It’s a semi-detached house, with central heating and cooling, and a private backyard and patio, a short walk away from Britannia Park & Beach. You would be living with me, my girlfriend, and her little Yorkie named Peanut!

Your 12’ x 10’ room would be on the second floor of the house, with lots of natural light coming from a window looking out onto the backyard. The room is unfurnished and has a spacious wardrobe.

You’ll have primary use of the private bathroom on the same floor (we have our own), which has a bathtub & shower combo, and lots of counter space.

You’ll have your own apartment size fridge with freezer space, so no fighting for fridge space. In the basement, there’s a couch, TV, and a big desk set-up that you are more than welcome to use for working, studying, or just hanging out.

What’s Included:

• Utilities (Heating, water, electricity) and high-speed unlimited internet
• Appliances and Features: Fridge, Gas stove, dishwasher, laundry washer and dryer, central vacuum.
• Storage space in big closets and wardrobes throughout the house, as well as in the basement. Got a bicycle? We can store it in the garage!
• If you have a car, there’s street parking available all around the neighborhood, but you’ll have to look into arrangements for the winter during parking bans.

• Close to groceries (Metro, Farmboy) & pharmacies.
• 10-minute walk to Britannia Beach & Park.
• Close to Andrew Haydon Park, Mud Lake trail and Ottawa River Pathway.
• A short drive away from Bayshore Shopping Centre for shopping, dining, and entertainment.
• Convenient access to public transit on Carling avenue, walkable distance to Lincoln Fields Station.

Requirements:

• Proof of income is required.
• First and last month’s rent upon signing agreement.
• Single occupancy (no couples).
• Must be dog-friendly since a friendly little Yorkie lives here
• No cats
• Non-smoker

I’m a graphic designer and public servant, working in communications and marketing, and my partner is a vet nurse.
