Private room with walk in closet, currently furnished with a dresser, desk and bed (and tv if wanted). Furnishings can be removed if necessary. It looks smaller than it is in the photo since it was taken in 0.5x to get as much of the room in the photo as possible.

The suite is a basement but is very well lit and has a lot of space. There is extra storage space in the back of the house, and the walk-in has room for storage as well. The bathroom is shared but we are conscious about sharing it efficiently, so it is often not an issue.

There are three rooms. This room or a slightly cheaper room ($925) are both available depending on need. However, this is the only one currently empty, so if the cheaper room is wanted we will need some time to move stuff out of the currently occupied room and into the empty one. There is a back yard with a patio and lots of space.

The upper tenants have kids so there is sometimes noise but they are very respectful and kind (and like to bring down treats!). The landlords are very sweet and supportive.

The property is near the Keating plaza, Michell’s farm, and Keating elementary. Pretty quiet neighborhood, with lots of friendly neighbors. The property is non-smoking, and no pets, however we don’t mind people who smoke as long as it’s outside.

I am a (22M) UVic student who works at the nearby elementary school, and my roommate is my cousin (20M) who is working toward his level 3 electrical apprenticeship.

We are quiet and respectful tenants, we enjoy various hobbies like DnD, rock climbing, and video games. We may be quiet but we like to have people over so we aren’t boring I promise. We like to support each other to make the household run smoothly, so please be open to a communicative household!

We would prefer a long term roommate (at least 6 months) but it is not required. The lease is month-to-month, so there is no required tenancy term. If you would prefer to sublet that may be arranged. The application process will include some screening (background check and references).
