The room is bright and fresh with a single bed, night stand and spacious closet. The bathroom is shared with one other person. The home is in a central location on Patterson Ave, 3 blocks from the beach, walking distance to shops, groceries, restaurants, KGH hospital and OK College. 5 minutes from downtown, 20 minutes from UBC-O and right beside the Ethel Street bicycle corridor and public transit. I love fresh air and often have the windows cracked unless it’s too hot or cold outside. The house simply and comfortably furnished with a well stocked kitchen with lots of appliances and cookware. There is also an outdoor patio and yard space to enjoy. Private, off street parking is provided.

A bit about us…We are 2 flatmates looking for a friendly and easy going 3rd roommate who has experience in living with others and communicates well. The room is great for a mature student or working professional. The home environment is friendly and relaxed and not intended to be a regular gathering place for friends or parties. We both love animals and have lots of experience living enjoyably with others. We appreciate a somewhat quiet home environment so we can be our best when we’re out in the world. We enjoy hiking, cooking and sharing the occasional dinners and games night!

I have good references with past tenants and roommates and ask that anyone applying can provide the same. Rent is $900 and includes the items listed above. If you want bedding, towels and household sundries (paper towel, kitchen soaps, kleenex, laundry detergent) included, then the rent is $950. We are the owner and a tenant sharing a 3 bedroom/ 2 bathroom house. I’m a dental hygienist and yoga therapist and have been living the last 3 years in Mexico where I started a health food business and learned to love cooking simple good foods. I’m back to enjoy friends and family in Canada and am taking a plant and herbal medicine course. I’m pretty friendly and chill. I love travelling, playing card and board games, yoga, learning, reading, being out in nature and learning. The other roommate is attending Okanagan College as a mature student. He is from Vietnam and is a great cook! He has lived in many countries all over the world and has a love of animals. We appreciate a house that’s tidy and clean and would live with a flatmate who has the same values in this area.
