Welcome to Highfield! The friendliest street in the East end. This is a very tight-knit, helpful, caring community. Our neighbours are our friends. If you like street parties, spontaneous outdoor movie nights, local trivia, porch drinks, and stopping to chat on your way home, this might be the place for you.

Hi! I’m Bridget. I’m a TDSB teacher and I live with my two boys (13/9) four nights/week with our black beauty shady lady kitty, Indie. We’re looking for the right fit for a roomie and we’ll be picky until we find them.

About the property: You will have your own large, high-ceiling, cozy, dry, partially furnished room in the basement. The room has a custom built floating desk with shelving. You will also have your own (very) large bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and separate shower stall (it’s huge). We will share the laundry (in the basement), kitchen, stand-up freezer and outdoor space (including propane bbq). You must be ok with kids and cats. All bills/utilities are covered, including access to our streaming platforms on the Roku (not your personal device). Driveway parking is available in a two car vertical driveway for an extra $50/mth; otherwise, street parking is limited but available.

There is a Toronto Bike Share at the end of the street if you use this service.

About the neighbourhood: It’s hard to put into words the spirit and feeling of this neighbourhood. Think downtown vibrance, convenience and vibe mixed with small-town comfort. You could never leave Gerrard and have everything you need; from art galleries to ballroom dance classes, large and small grocery stores, unbelievable restaurants, bars, breweries, gyms, Gerrard Square mall, coffee shops, Maha’s, Gerrard streetcar, the list goes on. We’re also walking distance to Woodbine Park/Beach, Queen St and Greenwood subway. This neighbourhood has to be experienced!

I love to listen to music while I cook and spend a lot of my time in the kitchen. I love cycling and I cycle commute to work. I try to enjoy Toronto as much as I can - dancing, concerts, live music, shows, trivia nights etc. I also love to find inexpensive/free entertainment as much as possible. I’m a “more the merrier” type of person but I also enjoy (need!) quiet nights at home as well. Looking forward to meeting you!
