I’m looking for a relaxed and respectful roommate to rent the spare bedroom in my riverfront bungalow in Parkdale. The location is excellent: it’s right across from the river, close to the university and hospital, and the neighborhood is quiet and safe. Rent covers full access to the shared spaces in the house, including a huge, fully equipped kitchen, furnished living and dining space, an unfinished basement for working out and storing items, and a back and front yard. The room for rent is 115 ft^2. My lease is up in May, but there may be an option to rent the entire house after and find another roommate.

I’m a 35-year-old female academic at UCalgary with a funny and relaxed personality. I moved to Calgary about a year ago after living abroad for many years. I’m quite busy with work, friends, family, and sports, and stay at my boyfriend’s place most weekends. I like to keep a peaceful living space and am looking for a roommate who doesn’t bring the party home. I share the house with my adorable 1.5-year-old Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix Suki (see photos), who is extremely friendly and cuddly, so being OK with dogs is a must.
