About the room
Welcome to my cozy, eclectic artist’s home, perfect for professionals and students alike. Steps from Mill Pond Park, with walking trails and green spaces, it’s within easy reach of Yonge Street’s transit lines and GO train. Library, grocery, fitness, LCBO and many cultural foodie spots all within walking distance. No one has lived in it yet as I’ve been working on getting the space ready for a roommate. In other words, it’s been designed with you in mind. New double bed with new bedding. Spacious, built-in organized closets to store all your belongings. Roman blinds (sewed by me) lined with blackout fabric for peaceful nights. Original artwork and antiques that lend a unique, inspiring charm to the space. Shared bathroom. Towels included. (and until there’s a second roomie, it’s all yours) Amenities Include: Fully equipped kitchen for foodies, with fine cookware; Nespresso machine; All Clad cookware and a Vitamix (if you appreciate good tools and take care of them!). Washer/dryer High-speed internet Basic cable/Netflix Cozy shared den with large-screen TV, (still painting the walls) Eclectic boho-chic living/dining area; good for reading a book, studying, napping or sharing a meal with friends Cleaning service every two weeks included in the rent. Private elevator Backyard garden, perfect for quiet afternoons and lovely sunsets. It’s a wintery jungle now.. but come spring…you can join me in growing some veggies if you want. A Note About Pets: As much as I adore animals and would love to welcome them all, I cannot accommodate additional pets for the well-being of my two friendly, affectionate cats who call this home their sanctuary. Smoking/Vaping/Cannabis Policy: While I’ve listed this as a non-smoking property, I am cannabis-friendly with mindfulness: if you partake, I ask that you smoke on the balcony during summer or by an open window in winter. This ensures a respectful and pleasant living environment for all. Inclusivity with House Guidelines: This is an inclusive space for women of all religions and ethnicities and sexual preferences, and I especially welcome Spanish-speaking women, as I am learning the language and would love the opportunity to practice and connect. I deeply respect and celebrate diverse identities (LGBTQ2SIA ally), and I’ve chosen to prioritize women-only roommates at this time. This is a private home, and I’m committed to creating a space that supports my well-being as well as that of my guests/roommates. My choice reflects my own current needs and is made with care and thoughtfulness.
About the roomies
So far, it’s just me and my two cats. And you. I am hoping to find a second roommate in time, but likely not until spring. Me? Well, I’m an artist and wedding officiant, with a love for creating beautiful, harmonious spaces. I live on the top floor of my townhome and work from home most of the time, although my job as a wedding officiant often has me traveling.
When I’m home, I enjoy the company of my two affectionate cats, writing wedding scripts, and spending quiet evenings surrounded by art and creativity. My goal is to maintain a peaceful, respectful environment where everyone feels welcome and at ease.
I deeply value kindness, mindfulness, and the balance of shared spaces. This home is more than just a place to stay—it’s a sanctuary for women seeking a serene and comfortable environment, with the perfect blend of privacy and community.
