About the room
Room in a midtown two bedroom: spacious, with balcony
Space Details:
room is 10x13, big closet / good storage in general
shared bathroom
Good light with west facing windows -> great for plant lovers
unfurnished bedroom, rest of flat will be furnished
Pros: space is cozy, with good transit links downtown (30ish minutes), grocery store 100 meters away, coin laundry on site. Can do a garden on balcony during summer, big bright west facing windows throughout whole apartment. Nice hardwood floors. 10 min walk from subway. 25 mins to St. George, 30 to UofT, 40 to Union. Near the 63 bus so you’re 20-25 minutes from the heart of ossington.
Cons: it has old appliances, and needs a face lift. I’m big into DIY and will be tackling this in earnest [if you wanna help- fab! But also no pressure] Area isn’t bustling most fun. It’s walkable for everyday stuff (89 walkscore) but does lack a little in the bar/restaurant department. There are two cute coffee shops nearby. If you want a quieter vibe than being right downtown, but still close to everything - this might be a good spot for you
Re: photos. The previous tenant hadn’t moved out at the point of photos & the place is being painted right now- hence the clutter.
Some things to note:
this would be a roommate agreement
first and last required, as well as a roommate reference (I can give you one too!)
not suitable for couples or folks with pets
3 month minimum stay
If this sounds interesting: send me a message and we can arrange coffee / a look at the space 😊
About the roomies
You’d be sharing the space with me - Ash. Mid 20s. Howdy! I am working full time & doing part time courses. In my downtime I like baking, writing and being outdoors. Big into comedy, plants & crafts. I am pretty tidy and hope to live with someone similar. I value community, creativity and am trying to be intentional about my time despite being pretty busy.🍉
looking for a roommate who’s chill, tidy-ish, good at communicating and doesn’t mind the occasional chat if we get along. (while also respecting each others space- if we get on, it be cool to eventually feel like friends)
I’m not a big partier, but I do like having friends for board game nights or dinner. I work a hybrid schedule, 3 days in office. I have asthma and would prefer no smoking in the apartment.
