Nestled in the heart of Little Italy, our home is in a perfect Toronto sweet spot where you get the perks of a quiet neighbourhood while still having easy access to Toronto’s downtown life and activities. 10 minutes from the Ossington subway station and 5 minutes away from the 506 College streetcar, plus 2 bus routes (63 and 94) are steps away, making public transit extremely accessible.

Our apartment is a 3 bed 1 bath, part of a 3 floor apartment building where each floor is a separate unit. We are on the 3rd floor, giving us the most privacy and sunlight (see huge living room window). We also have a cat (Bathtub, Tubby for short) who is very shy but is super cute and well-behaved. She’s sure to warm up to you!

The available room is an 11’3” x 8’8” with a large window that gets gorgeous sunlight, a wide French door closet, and plenty of space for any furniture you may need. The previous tenant is selling the furniture currently shown, so if you see any items you like, please reach out (will add those pics shortly)! The rent (utilities included) is $1528. Wi-Fi ($67.79) and renter’s insurance ($27.09) are split 3-way, totalling to $31.63/month each.

The common spaces include a sectioned off kitchen (microwave, dishwasher, washer+dryer) that opens up to the living and dining area, which are very spacious. Our living room has a large dining table as well as a TV, coffee table and couch, where we spend most of our time playing video games and chatting. We love the way we personalised these areas and we would like to have a space that reflects all of us in this home.

We have one bathroom that has a shower/bathtub, a toilet, and a sink with large counter space and under the sink storage. We also have 6 drawers that we have divided equally between us.

We have plenty of storage space; we have 2 shared storage closets, one near the entrance where we mostly hang coats and another in the bedrooms hallway where we store household items, towels, etc. Additionally, we also have stairway storage space near the back entrance that leads to the backyard.

The house also comes with access to an outdoors area with a BBQ and a large picnic table. Our neighbours are all friendly and very kind and we’ve had no issues over the past year we’ve lived here.

We truly love the apartment and the homey environment we’ve created here and we’re excited to welcome a new roommate into the fold! :)

Hello! We are two girls, Yasmin (24 yrs old) and Nahil (23 yrs old) who are being abandoned by our third roommate (she’s moving to Ottawa for law school) and are now in need of a new roommate! We have been living together for the past year and really enjoyed it! We are a home of friends and we really cherish the atmosphere we’ve curated of closeness and comfort to be fully yourself at home and we really value being close with the people we live with. We really enjoy staying in, lounging, cuddling with our cat, playing video games, and watching tv shows together. We also often enjoy going out, doing fun activities, and having friends over! Overall we’re both very chill people who understand the importance of communication to maintain a healthy roommate/friend relationship and are proactive about making this place a home for the three of us!

A little about each of us:

Nahil: I am a 2nd year chemistry PhD student at UofT so I spend most of the weekdays at school and come home to relax and chill at home. I’m Palestinian, but I grew up in Qatar and moved here 5 years ago for university! My hobbies include video games (Stardew Valley, Zelda, etc.), baking, watching tv, and just relaxing at home.

Yasmin: I just graduated from UofT in biology and am currently searching for a Big Girl Job! I’m Brazilian and I moved to Canada 5 years ago for uni. I am the proud owner of the home Nintendo Switch and grew up playing lots of video games! I also love reading (especially fanfiction oops) and I’m trying to become a better cook. I’ll take care of you if you throw up at parties but I’m probably the one who got you to that point (oops again)
