About the room
My place is located next to a bus stop that goes two directions - one for downtown, one for Barrhaven/Baseline. It’s a quiet street and a quiet place. A nice walk to the grocery store (or just a real short bus ride), an even shorter walk to the bus station.
Rent is around 500 per person, whereas Hydro varies month to month but usually comes around 50. Internet is usually 50 to 55, as we have fiber optic and unlimited data (with nice wifi). Total rent is roughly 1.5k so I and my current roommates split it 3 ways (as with other bills)
I’ve got one cat who is the only pet of the house - he doesn’t do well with dogs, and while he WAS with another cat when I first got him, we’re not sure how well he’d get along with another so I’d prefer no pets.
Benefits: Quiet, LGBT friendly place with good internet and a cat who loves every human being under the sun. We have a nice landlord who minds his own business and fixes any utilities that break either day-of or next-day if he can’t just come down and fix it himself. He also likes us because we’ve been in this unit the longest, whereas we had a whole parade of upstairs neighbors for a while before our current ones settled in for the long haul (Good news; the neighbors are also quiet!)
About the roomies
It’ll just be me for now - I’m looking for two roommates, either individuals or a pair of people (or even a couple sharing a room and one other, though that may feel crowded), since my current roommates are moving out in September for education-related purposes.
You will, of course, also have to deal with a small orange cat.
I’m ideally looking for other LGBT people who’d like a quiet environment and clean up after themselves. This doesn’t necessarily mean I want YOU to be quiet, since god knows I stay up late talking to people all the time - just that if that’s what you want, I’ve got it.
