About the room
About the bedroom: The bedroom space is cozy and can comfortably fit a queen bed/bed frame, dresser, and smaller desk (depending on how you lay out the room). The space has a closet as well. It is heated via baseboard heaters with an individual thermostat in the room. The room also has a large window that brings in lots of natural light to the room and comes with blinds. Please note; An A/C unit that sits in the window will not fit in the windows in this room, only a portable unit will (ones with a hose). This bedroom is unfurnished.
About the rest of the unit: This is the top floor unit! This unit also includes a cozy living space, full kitchen and one full shared bathroom. There is 1 linen closet in the main hall and a “mud room” style space off the living room with a large closet that is used for storage as well. The kitchen includes a stove, fridge, microwave (owned by me), toaster (owned by me) and one sink as well as lots of cupboard space. The bathroom is equipped with a toilet, sink with storage below and a bathtub with a hose shower head. This unit has 2 entrances, a private one at the back and one through the shared entrance at the front. One enters the kitchen and one enters the living room. Historically, the rear private entrance has been the main entry into the house. The mailboxes are located inside the door of the shared entrance at the front of the building. The shared entrance is shared by all 3 units, however only the top floor and main floor units are accessible.
About the rest of the property: There is a “parking garage” in the rear with 2 parking spaces. Currently both spots are occupied however there is possibility for one more parking space in the back lot, depending on the size of the vehicle. There is also parking on the road in front of the building along with parking on the side streets (by-law permitting). There is a shared coin laundry in the basement that can be accessed through the lockbox key. There is also a small closed and locked off part of the “parking garage” that can be used for shared outdoor storage.
About the area: This building is located on a main road therefore there is lots of noise from passing by vehicles. Another thing to note is that there is an ambulance hall located down the street so you will often see lots of flashing lights and sirens. There are many amenities nearby within walking distance like convenience stores, schools, restaurants and fast food, parks and trails, gas stations and a Foodland grocery store. Trent University is located about a 10 minute drive away and Fleming College is located about 15 minutes away by car.
About the roomies
About me: I am a 24 year old female who is currently employed full time and works evenings through the week. I enjoy listening to music of all genres, reading books, going to the gym, cuddling with my cats and hanging out with friends! I am very quiet and to myself, I spend most of my time in my bedroom when I am home and will use the living room from time to time. I do smoke occasionally and am always respectful of those around me when doing so. I occasionally drink but am not huge on it or partying often. I like to keep all areas of the unit clean and expect my roommate to as well. I am very minimalistic, easy going and am very communicative when needed! I am open to living with a male that is clean, quiet and respectful of living with a female.
About the others on the property: The main level unit is occupied by a woman and her young child. I have a very good relationship with these tenants and have become very close with them. The basement unit is occupied by a middle aged male who is very quiet and keeps to himself. It is very important that all tenants are clean and respectful.
