About the room
Low-rise well kept apartment building in Ajax. I have a furnished private bedroom (in a 2 bedroom apartment) for minimum 6 months stay. Longer term preferred. This room is for one person only. No overnight visitors please.
An older working or semi-retired female who keeps busy would be ideal. (I’m an early retired 57 yo female who works part-time and is relatively active which would mean similar lifestyles.). I live alone with a small-ish dog.
Prefer someone more on the quiet side with few or no visitors. I rarely have visitors and with a renter I would make a point of visiting at friends’ homes or elsewhere.
This building is a bit pricy but worth it by location, security, comfort and convenience. I’m charging enough to cover amenities (internet by wifi, hydro (which I pay directly), use of common living areas, furnished bedroom and use of dishes/pots, etc. in kitchen). Also included is reasonable use of washer/dryer in unit. To be clear I’m renting a room with amenities included and not seeking a roommate for 50/50 sharing; that would be more in costs.
Bathroom is shared and must be kept clean at all times by each person after each use.
Sorry there is no parking. I pay extra for my spot outside. I can certainly check if another spot can be rented, but no promises are being made.
About the roomies
I’m an early retired 57 yo female who works part-time. I have a 30 lb (medium to small size) dog. He’s a poodle mix so non-shedding and hypoallergenic. He goes to a dog sitter when I work longer than 3 hours.
My home is kept clean and that includes the dog … his feet/paws are washed after every outing, and he gets a wipe down, as that would be like me walking in with my shoes … just saying. He’s quiet and very friendly.
It goes without saying then, whoever takes the room must like dogs and don’t mind being around one. And no additional pets will be accommodated as this is an apartment and not a house with a backyard.
Apologies for being blunt. Avoids misunderstandings later. But I’m looking forward to hearing from anyone who thinks we could mesh in the space. Cheers.
