About the room
Furnished 2+1(den) bedroom renovated apartment to be shared with another female professional or a graduate student. Pet-friendly. UTILITIES INCLUDED (electricity, water, heating/air conditioner, condo fees, cable TV, fast internet). Amazing location. Next to the AGO (free entrance on Wednesday evenings), OCAD, Grange park (with an off-leash dog area, great pet-friendly community), Eaton Center and many hospitals. Five minute walk to St. Patrick subway station (line 1) and short walk to stops of different TTC lines. Apartment recently renovated; new kitchen with dishwasher and all functional appliances. Air conditioner and heater. There is a small washing room with washer and drier for our exclusive use inside the apartment. The apartment gets plenty of sunlight and satisfies all safety standards (big windows in each room, fire detectors, etc). Big partially coveted balcony/terrace to be enjoyed when weather allows. As with other shared areas in the apartment, you are welcome to use this space and the equipment/appliances there (for example, fitness equipment). You would be the only person with access to your good-sized bedroom. I can lend you some furniture for the room, if needed, at no additional cost. You will have the common areas of the apartment for yourself most of the time (seriously, as by my current job and personal situation). The apartment complex has a pool open during the summer, and a modest gym open the whole year. Some additional storage space is also included. Parking in the apartment complex is available from external providers (independent company) and should be arranged directly with them.
About the roomies
I’m looking for a down-to-earth female professional or senior/graduate student who is respectful, reliable and reasonably clean. I’ve years-long experience sharing housing with roomates in different countries (during my studies). I consider myself reasonable, approachable and always open to communication. However, I’m not a party person and would prefer someone similar in this respect. *I prefer to share the apartment only with FEMALEs. *It’s also a priority to me that the apartment remains a safe space for both of us. I’m willing to discuss and accommodate requests from your side in this respect. *I’m very respectful of other cultures, religions and beliefs; in that sense, I’m also open to discuss and accommodate potential dietary restrictions from your side and how those impact the use of the kitchen (to be honest, I very rarely cook). *I expect a potential roommate to do their part in keeping the shared areas in a livable condition. If complying with a cleaning schedule is problematic for you because of work or preferences, we can arrange external cleaning services and share the additional cost. *I love animals (especially but not exclusively dogs) and I would like to keep the apartment PET-FRIENDLY. I’m looking for a pet-friendly roommate as pets are an important part of my life. My partner has a medium sized super friendly dog that will visit occasionally. Moreover, I strongly advocate for animal rescue and adoption. I’m open to discuss and negotiate the specifics if you want to bring a pet with you. This is truly a great place to have a dog (great dog-friendly, supportive community). *I cannot stress enough how important to me is to keep the apartment as a peaceful and safe place. I’m not in a rush to find a roomie, as my priority is to find the right person: someone with a compatible lifestyle who benefits from the arrangement, enjoys the apartment, and also respects it. *My primary drive to share the apartment is not financial. The displayed price was set considering the apartment location, it’s condition, the all-inclusive services, and the full/almost-exclusive access that will be provided of the space and appliances. I’m open to negotiation depending on the specifics of the arrangement and our fit as roomates. •Initially I offer a limited-time deal (start date and length open to negotiation) so we can both evaluate if the arrangement is convenient and we are compatible roommates. The arrangement would be framed by a detailed roommate contract that will be reviewed by a lawyer (I would cover that). I’m open to discuss and negotiate the details of said contract in advance, but expect compliance (from both sides) after it’s signed. If everything goes smoothly, contract extension is possible. *More about me: I am a woman in her late thirties with a full-time job in a hospital at downtown Toronto. I do not drink alcohol and I try to keep a healthy life-style (I’m into yoga). I’m friendly, approachable, reliable and respectful. I do not have the chance to spend a lot of time at the apartment, but I do appreciate the peace, independence and convenience that this place offers to me (it is at walking distance from my workplace). I’m willing to provide references and verifiable information about myself to serious good-fit candidates. Start and end dates are flexible. If you are interested, please contact me through this platform introducing yourself. => PHOTOS COMING…
