About the room
Sunny, third floor apartment unit in the Plateau close to Parc Jeanne Mance. The kitchen comes fully stocked kitchen and with a very new dishwasher. There’s also a washer and dryer and an electric fireplace (with three heat settings, which is quite lovely). There’s an AC unit in the center of the hallway that works wonders during the hottest days of the summer, but most of the summer the cross breeze is so nice that it’s not even needed. It’s walking distance from McGill (15 minutes), St. Laurant and Sherbrooke metros (10 minutes), Segal’s (5 minutes), and just about every single kind of restaurant and essential store you’d need in the area. The nearest pharmacy is one block away, and there’s a lovely little park to sit in just behind the building with some swinging benches, a fountain, and a little free library that’s almost always picked clean!
About the roomies
Hello! My name is Desmond, and I’m a second year master’s student in Environmental Engineering at McGill (hopefully going for a PhD next year). I’m fairly quiet and laid back. I love reading, writing, cooking, watching movies, and picking up little arts and crafts skills (pencil sketching and knitting are my current two). I’m a big fan of cozy evening plans like discovering new recipes, game and movie nights, or just hanging out. I very much value my time alone, but I also love a good, rambling conversation especially when there’s good tea involved. I play music fairly regularly, but it’s all fairly low-key acoustic stuff (American/Canadian folk, Irish traditional, stuff like that) so it never gets very loud and I’m always happy to go practice elsewhere or keep it quiet whenever asked (though of course someone who loves music in the home is a plus!)
