About the room
I am a single female (31) with an adorable little dachshund (Toby). I have a 3 bedroom duplex with a finished basement. I am located in a quiet neighborhood in St. Albert with access to walking paths, Big Lake, parks, schools, bus routes etc. There would be a private room (upstairs) and availability to use the basement as a rec space (or you can set up a bedroom down there as well). Bathroom is located upstairs (private) with full shower/tub and ample storage. I have a backyard with a large deck and hot tub. There is a single garage although I do park outside as I use the garage for storage. There is two spots on the driveway for outdoor parking and plenty of visitor as well. I have a spare bedroom furnished already or there is a second bedroom I can clear out if you have your own bed/furniture. The basement has a TV stand, makeshift gym, & mini fridge, and there is room for a small couch and TV.
I am ideally looking for a month to month rental agreement (for now) with the potential of it being longer term if we decide we are the right roommates for each other! I have lived in my home alone for going on 3 years, so I do value my space; however, I am considering the idea of sharing it to split the rising costs of being a home-owner. I would prefer a roommate with no pets (I am allergic to cats, so that is a definite no) as I do not want to disturb my dogs space nor run the risk of the two dogs not getting along. Toby does like to bark at people walking on the path behind my house, so please keep that in mind while checking out my rental.
About the roomies
I am a quiet professional who works a 9AM-5PM job (typically Tuesday-Saturday) with Sunday and Mondays being my days off. I do tend to work more in the summer, but on my time off, I am a homebody other than taking my dog to the dog park or walks. I enjoy cooking and listening to music, as well as hot tubbing and enjoying my backyard in the warmer months. I donβt have people over often, but my friends do stop by for visits as well as family and my neice/nephew/other kids in my life. I try to keep a tidy house and would expect the same out of my roommate. It would be a shared kitchen situation, but groceries for yourself would be your own responsibility.
