About the room
Hi everyone! My name is Davinia and I’m looking for a responsible housemate for my beautiful 2 bedroom loft. The building is an old BMO bank that has been thoughtfully renovated into residential units and offices. It is a brand new renovation; no one else has lived here! Your side of the rent is $1100, half of the hydro bill, and half of the internet bill. Water and gas are included in the rent. There is AC in the unit, a dishwasher, and shared coin laundry in the basement. Unfortunately, there isn’t designated parking; only street parking.
The lease is under my name so we will create a roommate agreement that the landlords must approve. To apply, you need an employment letter, credit report, landlord references, first and last month’s rent, and a key deposit.
About the roomies
Some info about me: I am in my late 20s and am looking for a new home as my ex-partner and I recently separated. I am currently working as a server at two restaurants. Before this, I had a 7-year career in tech but left it to pursue a new career in landscape design and landscape architecture and will be starting school in September 2024.
I am a non-smoker and have 2 cats. They are both spayed and are very well-behaved cats. My cats are very particular so I am looking for a housemate that does not have any animal companions/pets and are open to cats that may be affectionate with you. I don’t mind house guests/friends that come over and/or stay over, but expect that we communicate about it ahead of time and that it’s not a regular occurrence.
I am a very clean and tidy person and go above and beyond to make sure my home is sparkling at all times. I expect the same from anyone that I am living with. I care deeply about my space and taking care of my personal items/furniture as expect my housemate to treat shared items with the same respect. I can fully furnish the living room and part of the kitchen however, you would need to bring your own pots/pans/knives as well as your own bedroom furniture. I would love to eventually become friends with my housemate if possible, however, it’s not a requirement. The most important thing for me is that we are compatible to live with each other and are respectful of each other’s needs when it comes to maintaining a shared space.
For fun, I like to ice skate, paint, and garden. I cook a lot and would love to share meals with my housemate if they are open to it. I hope to hear from you soon! :)
