Hi there, I am looking to fill a room in my 2-bedroom apartment with a clean, tidy, respectful and responsible individual (no couples) Students preferred. The room is available for move-in Sunday June 29. I do 4/month terms based on the school year, since I’m looking for July, the first term would be for minimum 2 months - 6 months. Another term is possible but it all comes down to where my life is ATM, and if I think we get along enough to survive another term lol. Term extension can be discussed after two months.
Clean freaks are welcome, absolutely no slobs, if you’re someone who naturally keeps your bedroom neat and tidy on the regular, you’re likely the type of person who will fit in at my place.
The rooms furnished with the following: Desk, lamp, boss style leather chair, Duvet and pillows with covers. Queen size Kingsdown mattress with protector. Big closet with hangers and hanging storage organizers. Huge Area rug. the room was FRESHLY PAINTED.
$1000/month All-Inclusive (heat, hydro, internet, toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex) first and last required. The bedroom is 10’6“x9’ and about 9’ high ceilings, Laminate flooring, north-facing window. Must supply your own fan and or portable AC.

There will not be a lease, but instead, there will be a roommate agreement. The term goes by the school semesters. I will never use the agreement to keep someone around, if you want to leave before the end of the agreement all I ask is the standard 2 months’ notice. A landlord cannot live in the same unit as a tenant, which is why I have to use a roommate agreement instead of a lease. I will never let a roommate have a joint lease to my home.
The apartment is located on the second floor of a three-story building with three balconies (2 front and 1 back) and is approximately 950sqft. High ceiling throughout the apartment with hardwood, laminate, and tile flooring. You will have your own personal shower caddy, towel bar, drawer and counter space in the bathroom. Toilet has a bidet attachment (cold water only) and the Squatty Potty.
Rogers Internet Ignite 2gb down - unlimited. strong signal throughout the unit.
Access and control to the Blink home self-monitoring security system. Blink cameras are located in the living room, dining room, front door hallway, Kitchen, and back door/balcony. The place was broken into back in 2016. Cameras armed by whoever leaves the apartment last. You can choose to live-view the place through the app on your phone if you want. This isn’t an option, it’s a requirement. You must have the app installed on your smartphone and remember to arm the cameras.

Karaoke jams a thing but it’s occasional and weekends only. Three TV’s in the dining room/Sports bar/Gym. Football Sundays a thing for me, I don’t have many friends who likes Football like I do. Very well equipped kitchen with quality cookware, utensils and I have a strong appliance game: 12qt & 6qt Slow Cookers (Crockpot), Instant pot (pressure cooker), Deep fryer, Air fryer, 10 cup rice cooker, Waffle maker, portable gas stove for hot pots, Kettle, Lavazza Blue Coffee/Espresso Machine, Keurig K Elite (Must buy your own coffee pods).
Some directives:
Dishes always completely washed (handles, all sides of the dishes/pots/pans/utensils). I don’t care if you leave a pile of dishes to wash later on the counter, but dishes on the counter must be hard hot water rinsed beforehand to avoid attracting any pests. makes sense?
No shoes inside. Slippers, socks or barefoot only.
There will never be pee stains on the toilet, on the squatty potty or the floor, always look and wipe down after. The place stays clean, I will never leave a mess for you and I expect the same common courtesy.
Always rinse the tub, walls and curtain thoroughly with the hand held showerhead after your shower so that the soap grime does not buildup so quickly, helps prolong cleanliness.
With past roommates we take turns monthly with the general cleaning of the apartment; this includes dusting from the top down, spraying cleaners and wiping down, sweeping and mopping, scrubbing bathtub, walls, sinks, and toilet. Honestly, if you’re able to clean up after yourself, I can take care of all the general cleaning!
We’ll also take turns monthly being responsible for gathering all the garbage to take out on garbage/recycling days and bringing bins back in. this is the only way so that one roommate will never resent the other for not pulling their weight.
The fridge is clean and aside from dust accumulation, there shouldn’t be anything else. Dirty containers always wiped down before placing back into the fridge, loose vegetable and or fruit goes into a container or bag, potential leakage from packaged meat? Meat tray it! or keep it in a bag. Never leave rotting food in the fridge.
This is a house that recycles and separates the composts so that the garbage doesn’t stink up the place. Cardboard broken down and flattened!
Groceries and my Alcohol are not shared, you are welcomed to use my spices, but that’s it. you’ll have access to my cookware, dinnerware, and utensils. access to all the TVs and the apps I have for live TV, Movies and shows to stream.
If all that makes sense to you we should get along just fine.
About the roomies
Now a little about myself: My name is Eddy, in my Mid 30’s, I work full-time at a division of Bell Media, non-smoker but Cannabis friendly (outdoors only), I don’t party at home very often, weekends if anything. I am more clean and tidy than other people you would know, I like to watch movies, sports (football Sundays a thing) and follow many TV series. I am a perfectionist (not OCD). I Lean towards Buddhism. If I am not watching anything I will usually be listening to music. There’s only 1% of Canadians who listens to more Spotify than I do.
Slight allergy to pets but it all depends on the dander, Landlords and I are not down with dogs anymore. Cats a possibility.
Fair warning: I straight up hate drunks and dirty people, stay away if that’s you because we’ll just end up in a fist fight. I can’t be nice to someone I dislike. can’t believe I have to say this, but, no inviting crackheads over, no homeless, no sketch bags.

Not looking for a bestie, I like to do my own thing. Occasional gatherings one thing, but this is not a party house. must respect the other tenants in the building who are Students and working professionals.
