About the room
NOTE: Rent will be split equally between all tenants. As two rooms out of three are available, if the house only has two tenants (myself and another person) then the rent and utilities WILL BE SPLIT 50/50. So that would be $750 per month plus utilities. If three people are splitting rent, then it would be $500 a month plus utilities.
P.S. - Renting the room and Putting your name on the lease requires a credit check and/or some proof of income or disability befits (requirement of the property owner). And at this time, I am looking for long-term tenants who could even take over the lease from myself. The lease for the full townhouse, all three rooms and the whole house, is currently set at $1450.0,, Not including Utilities
Hello there! The place is a two-story townhouse with a small front and backyard on a quiet crescent in South Osbourne Village, Winnipeg. There is ample street parking right outside and nearby; and it’s a quick 5-min walk to the Safeway, the Osborne library & Community Center, and close the rapid transit route & other bus stops. There’s also a community garden just a short 10-minute walk away, and plenty to do in the local neighborhood. In the house itself there’s a washer & dryer, plus a large shared deep freezer and lots of extra storage room in the basement. Both rooms have nice, big windows facing lots of trees. The rooms for rent faces the front street (East-facing windows) and our small front yard. You also can use the front garden as well! The house is semi-pet friendly, that meaning The house might not be the best for any older dogs/pets or humans with mobility challenges as there are a lot of stairs, and the back door is sealed up for the winter to keep the heat in.
Utilities prices very every month. Yes, it fluctuates in price. Such are the problems with renting a townhouse in the city. We SPLIT the Utility bills equally, the bill totals differs from month to month so rent price fluctuates. This includes Water & Waste (billed quarterly), Hydro, and Wifi. Summer is often the cheaper time of the year, with heating in the winter eating up a larger Hydro bill.
Included in Rent: -Free Street parking (if you have a vehicle. We also have a battery booster pack we share if you need to jump-start your car) The parking spot in the back lane can be negotiated if you want it (my car is currently there) -In-House Laundry Machines (You pay for your detergents/soaps or can use the ones provided) -Shared basement storage (lots of space!) -Shared small backyard/front yard garden space (also community garden within 10-minute walk) -Share of our deep freezer (15 cu. ft. approx.) -Inclusive & Judgement-Free Environment :)
About the roomies
I’m a self-employed Non-binary person in their late 30s. I’m hoping to find someone or some folks who’d be willing to take over the lease of the townhouse from me as it’s too much space just for one person. I mainly stay in my room and do my own stuff. I’m not the kind of person who would pressure you to hang out or have meals together, I prefer to live and let live so long as the share house is clean, quiet during resting hours and not damaged.
