About the room
Looking for one roommate starting Nov 1st or sooner to share a lovely, spacious, two bedroom, two bathroom, two level home in a fabulous, quiet, central Kitsilano location. A short walk to almost anything you could ever need: one block to shopping, restaurants, cafes and parks; four blocks or less to the UBC B-line, bus lines on Broadway, 4th Ave, Arbutus, and Macdonald; ten minute walk to Kits Beach.
The place is light and bright, with high ceilings and lots of windows. We have a sunny, south facing balcony, and a garden patio with BBQ.
Your share of the rent would be $1749/mo, plus utilities (heat, water, hot water, electricity, high speed fibre internet). The room is furnished with a queen bed, bedside table, dresser, table/desk, and a full sized closet.
The open living space is nicely furnished, including a full kitchen with granite countertops, dishwasher, small dining table, flatscreen TV, and comfy couch. Heated tile flooring, nice carpets, well kept building and grounds. 2 full bathrooms. Ensuite washer and dryer.
One year commitment preferred, open to other time frames.
Open to a small, well behaved and non-shedding/hypoallergenic dog, but no cats or other pets allowed.
When reaching out, please share a number and a direct email you can be contacted at, if possible. Thanks :-)
About the roomies
The ideal housemate would be considerate and responsible, who values a clean and calm living environment, and is happy to contribute to the upkeep of our shared home, with weekly cleaning, as well as tidying up after themselves daily in the kitchen and common areas.
Female preferred, and vaccinated for covid. If youโre up for taking some health precautions, eg. masking in crowded public places/transportation, weโd be an excellent fit. :-). Working professionals or grad students welcome!
We try to be quiet between 11pm-8am.
Into: respect and kindness, science, music, history, nature walks, cycling, music, film & shows. LGBTQ+ friendly. Communication in advance about having guests over.
Not into: smoking, drugs, or partying in our home.
