PLEASE NOTE the lease requires - ABSOLUTELY NO: smoking/vaping/drug use, parties, drunkeness or loudness. YOU must absolutely adhere to this - no exceptions for any reason!

NO FURTHER PETS ALLOWED (so sorry)

CREDIT CHECK REQUIRED Suited to a Working Professional. References required: current landlord, previous landlord, work supervisor, and community members/friends.

MORE SPACE THAN A BACHELOR, PRIVATE WITH OWN ENTRANCE, OWN BATHROOM PLUS 2 ROOMS and UPSTAIRS SHARED KITCHEN.

Ideally looking for a single person (no couples), an established working individual who is looking for an affordable long term situation. The woman upstairs is quite and has a little Chi-weenie dog who is well behaved and not an incessant barker! She is private and respectful of your space and will be amicable around shared use of shared areas.

LOCATION is close to Gorge and Jutland with a great bus and walking score. Close to amenities and centrally located for an easy commute to many of Victoria’s districts. Residential street parking for 1 vehicle. Wonderful walking through the Selkirk Trestle bridge and close to Glo Restaurant.

The upstairs kitchen is shared. It is big bright with vintage style and is the heart of the house. The laundry room is a shared.

Expect an older style home with entry in the backyard. You will be renting two seperate rooms, your own private bathroom, and shared kitchen and laundry. There is quite a bit of space but it is not totally finished. The two rooms are finished, one with carpet and one with a grey cement floor. It’s not a palace but certainly waits for your homey flair. It comes furnished with bed, 2 dressers, throw carpets on cement floors, living room furniture, lamps, a desk, and more. There are bright windows and the door opens into the backyard.

** If you want to know more, send your questions. You will be interviewed by the current tennant and the landlord and will be signing a binding roommate agreement with month to month terms. You be asked to to take over the BC Hydro account. Hydro, (this is important to demonstrate good credit and responsibility) City Utilities, and Fortis gas bills will be shared 50%. Wifi sharing can be discussed.

** If you find this too stringent, it is needed for authenticity and responsible conduct. These times are rife with scammers, squatters and unscrupulous individuals. **

About the roomies

Hi folks, I am a 55+ artist with my awesome little side kick dog. I’m a quiet person. My interests include cooking, making art, playing cards, and board games; computer work, dog walks and exploring the island. I work from home and I like my privacy. I have no romantic intentions and and I’m happy being single! Ideally, I want to share space with a respectful, dog loving, self reliant roomie who is capable of decent communication. I like harmony and no drama! Hopefully this suits you as well. I will mention again - IT’S A SOBER HOUSE - absolutely no smoking of anything - perfect for employed persons desirous of a harmonious shared living arrangement. IF YOU CANNOT MEET THESE REQUIREMENTS DON’T APPLY I would prefer longer term, but short term may be considered for adult students. Thanks for getting this far. “Respectful boundaries make for good relationships.”
