About the room
We are currently touching up the paint in the room, so more pictures and room showings will be available Oct 26. We are available on Sundays (all day) or Mondays (evenings). We would like to have this room filled soon, so don’t hesitate to send me a message if you are interested.
Pets: Welcome with approval (sorry, no cats). We do have a dog who is with us part-time.
Location: Easy bus access to Edmonton and EIA, plus on-demand transit nearby. Street parking is available.
Rent & Utilities: Rent averages around $800/month including utilities (utilities are split per person). Internet is free — and it’s very fast and reliable (we game online, so it’s top-notch!). There’s also a line-in connection available right in the bedroom.
Lease: 1-year lease to start, then month-to-month. Homeowner requires renters’ insurance within 30 days of move-in.
Shared Spaces: Laundry, kitchen, and entrance are shared. The main floor also has a living room space we don’t really use, so it’s available for roommates to make their own! It’s a great flexible area for extra storage, setting up furniture, a workout corner, or even a cozy lounge. Since it’s part of the shared floor, we just keep it relaxed and quiet like the rest of the house, especially in the evenings.
Private Perks: The room comes with its own private bathroom! Plus, there’s plenty of extra storage under the stairs (and in the living room, if you’d like).
Other Notes: The laundry room is next to the bedroom, but we’re mindful about using it around our roommate’s schedule to avoid disruption. No smoking indoors.
About the roomies
I (38F) live with my husband (35M). I’m a full-time student at MacEwan, and he works full-time at the airport. When we’re home, we usually keep to ourselves — studying, gaming, or relaxing in our room. We occasionally have friends over, but they typically hang out in our space upstairs.
The house is generally very quiet. Unless someone is being intentionally loud, you likely won’t hear much from us (and vice versa).
The kitchen and living space are on the main floor. It can be a bit echo-y and cooking smells can drift into bedrooms, so we try to be mindful about that and appreciate the same in a roommate, especially around sleeping hours.
We’re looking for someone who’s easygoing, considerate, and tidy — someone who appreciates a calm, respectful home. This would be a great fit for a student, a professional, or anyone who likes to come home and unwind after a long day without lots of noise or guests.
If that sounds like your vibe, we’d love to hear from you!
