Seeking a Peaceful Roommate to share with one other in a Creative Hideaway!!

Imagine living in a bright room overlooking a park, having a dreamy spare room/office with balcony, and living not with a house full of folks but just one great roommate! I have this room available in a cozy home — a place where the kettle is often on, evenings are calm, and the walls tell stories through local art (by myself and others who have lived here).

The house is tucked away on a quiet cul-de-sac in Oaklands — just a short stroll from Fernwood, Jubilee Hospital, and Camosun College, where you can enjoy your tea in the Spirit Garden next to the house. Rent is $1300/month + hydro/heat & house expenses (internet, water, and gas are included). Willing to negotiate price for certain circumstances. Available February 1st or possibly sooner (if needed). Note that I’m also considering a split with two roommates, which would lower the rent a lot more. So if $1300 is not in your budget, do message to inquire about this possibility :)

About me: Friendly, mature, low-key, and a fan of a home that feels like a calm exhale. I enjoy a clean and quiet environment that feels like home. I have a BSW, I love cooking, baking, gardening, crafting, cycling, playing board games and sharing good food! I have lots of plants and a sweet bunny that will surely capture your heart 💜

Perks? An established garden,, easy/free street parking, basement storage, and a claw-foot tub where you can soak while gazing at our backyard jungle - perfect for a slow, restorative soak. Room can come with a lend of simple furniture (bed, dresser, shelf) if needed. :)

I’m looking for someone who values a peaceful home: clean, considerate, employed, and content with quiet nights but not too early mornings. Would love to share meals sometimes and play board games if you’re up for it (I have many!) If you enjoy shared spaces that stay tidy and the kind of conversation that knows when to pause, then this place will feel like home.

Please note that the room is for one person (would be more for a couple) and sadly we can’t welcome any other pets, nor smokers as I’m allergic!

I’m a friendly, community oriented, stable, meditating and yogaing, calm, yet quirky gal who enjoys living with others and having time to myself, sharing awesome meals when inspiration strikes, and sharing stories with those around me. I’m searching for (and offer myself as) a clean, friendly, and reliable roommate who is skilled at living with others, and offers great communication and conflict resolution skills..

I’m hoping to continue co-creating a respectful and solid living environment where we are all mindful, accountable and strive to cultivate a harmonious living environment. There’s an extra bedroom that will be set up as an office/art space. If you work from home on occasion or are a student, this could be the perfect place to have a place to study/work. The house is quiet but with a friendly and calm atmosphere allowing for the occasional potluck and games night.
