Private furnished room/shared bathroom in a spacious ground-floor apartment in Scarborough Centre. No parking. The apartment is pet-free, smoke-free, and drug-free. Utilities, high-speed Wi-Fi internet, and basic amenities (soap, toilet paper, cleaning products, & more) are all included.

The room comes furnished with a plush twin mattress, desk, chair, side table, lamp, and closet space. The room has a door, plus sliding doors to a sunroom (shared space for outdoor items).

The location is right on a main road and is a short walk to the TTC station, GO buses, Scarborough Town Centre mall, grocery stores, Shopper’s Drug Mart, parks, library, YMCA, and other community spaces. Nearby campuses include Centennial and U of T Scarborough.

The apartment features a large patio for outdoor seating and a living room with a TV available for casting. The building has an on-site coin laundry ($2.75).

The last month’s deposit of $950 is due to secure the room, plus a $100 deposit for apartment keys and security pass, which is refunded when they are fully returned upon departure. The first month’s rent of $950 would be due on the first, prior to move-in.

I am the tenant of the apartment, a 37-year-old female working professional, and looking for a boarder to rent the 2nd bedroom. I am currently away from home on a working contract and have a proxy who helps maintain the apartment and assists with cleaning (not all cleaning, as you would also be responsible for helping maintain a clean environment and take on some duties).

I appreciate someone who respects the space and helps maintain a clean and comfortable apartment. I do have a list of shared responsibilities to keep things running smoothly. While I value privacy, I also appreciate great communication. And so, I have outlined some agreements which I’m happy to share prior to a viewing so we are on the same page!
