About the room
ROOM FOR RENT IN A NICE QUIET NEIGHBOURHOOD: Currently a friend is occupying the spare room in my house. The friend will be moving out once I sign on a new person to share my house.
N.B.: The male owner of the house lives in the house.
I have a room for rent to a serious student or young professional in a nice quiet neighbourhood which is fifteen minutes walk from Algonquin College. It is five minutes drive to the College and twelve minutes drive to Carleton University and fifteen minutes drive to Ottawa U.
Non smoker and social drinker only.
The house has one and a half baths and is located in the ideal and quiet neighbourhood of Bel Air Park.
The room is available as of the signing of the lease for a new tenant.
The house has central Air and a new high efficiency forced air gas furnace as of May 2021. It is equipped with all appliances including a dishwasher. New clothes washer as of February 2021. Wood burning fireplace in the front living room. Second living room / T.V. room addition at the back of the house. Small wood deck off the side of this addition.
This house with a large front and back yard is within fifteen minutes walking distance from Algonquin. It is a ten minute drive to the downtown core. It is also within a twelve minute drive to Carleton University and fifteen minutes to Ottawa U.
It is located approximately five minutes walk from St. Daniel’s Catholic elementary school and seven minutes from Charlotte Lemieux public elementary school. Agincourt public school is also in close proximity, i.e. a five minute drive from the house. Nearby parks include the west end of the Central Experimental Farm and one on Berwick Ave. which are both within five minutes walking distance. There are also two parks on Navaho Drive including one with tennis courts and kids’ playground equipment and Copeland park which also has kids’ playground equipment.
This house has a home gym.
First and last months rent must be paid upon the signing of the tenancy agreement.
Universal hygiene and privacy standards are to be respected by the tenant and of course the landlord. As to the first standard, the landlord does this already in compliance with the guidelines from the WHO and the CDC.

N.B.: I will be maintaining home owner’s insurance on the house, however the tenants will have to ensure that they also have insurance for their personal possessions while renting. This is not a pet friendly house.
Prospective tenants will have to provide employment and tenancy references prior to signing on as a tenant for the room in this house.

I am the brother of the owner of the house and am assisting him with this posting. He is an honest, respectful, quiet non smoker and non drinker and is looking for a room mate with the same values. He has what are considered the universal hygiene standards of Canadians and would respect the privacy of his tenant.
