We hope you’re having a great day. We are a couple and both international students currently living in Toronto. After completing high school here, we will be moving to Calgary. I have been accepted to the University of Lethbridge – Calgary Campus, and my girlfriend has been accepted to Bow Valley College. We are currently waiting for our study permits and visas to be finalized, and plan to move as soon as they are approved. We are looking to rent a fully furnished apartment (including bed, wardrobe, kitchen appliances, washer, dryer, and Wi-Fi). We do not require a parking space, and are planning to rent for at least 3 years or longer. Each of us can afford $1,000–$1,100 monthly, with a total rent budget of up to $2,200/month. As we are new to Canada and do not yet have a credit score or credit cards, we are happy to provide alternative documents such as: Admission letters from our schools Recent bank statements A letter of intent Proof of income support (if required) We have tried contacting several rental companies, but most have strict requirements regarding credit history. In Toronto, we previously stayed in a homestay where personal belongings were often lost, so we are hoping to find a safe and reliable place to live together during our studies in Calgary.
