Hiya, I’m moving from London, UK to Vancouver mid-April for a 1 year position as a Postdoctoral Researcher at UBC. I have just finished a 4 year postdoc at Durham University in England and I’m excited to work abroad for the first time in my career! I’m a huge fan of travelling having visited 35 countries so far and I’m a big fan of being outdoors, hiking, birdwatching and being in nature. I also love keeping fit, socialising, painting/drawing and find it quite easy to make friends. I’ve lived in houseshares for the last couple of years which I’ve found very easy. I’m a clean housemate who enjoys time on her own as well as a balance of socialising with housemates. I only know a small number of people in Vancouver so I will certainly not turn my nose up at meeting new people :)

$1300 isn’t strictly my max amount rent I’m willing to pay, just a ballpark figure to begin with
