Hello I arrived as a Trans refugee (she/her) from Uganda in Sept. and have been settling into my new home in Toronto. Rainbow Railroad is my sponsor and they have committed to covering my rent until next Nov. I have my Permanent Resident status and just wrote my ESL test today. I can now start looking for work. I’m working with Times Change employment counselors and hope to have employment in the next couple of months. I love to cook, and can show you a bunch of African recipes. I’m discovering Netflix, and Western movies & music and would love you to share your favorites with me. I arrived with only my clothing and don’t have any furniture yet (except a tea cup and a couple small things). thanks so much. I hope to hear from you
