Description
Hi! My name is Emily. I’m a 22 year old history student at the UofA! I currently live with no roommates in an apartment in Lendrum Place.
I recently brought home my 9 week old puppy, Little Bear. He is a ball of energy right now, but we spend everyday training and adjusting. My building gave me permission to have him, but are now being uncooperative with the training process.
Little Bear is NOT a big barker at all, but does bark once or twice when it’s time to eat or when I leave him alone in his crate for a short time. (This is how puppy will learn not to have seperation anxiety - after approx. 1 week of being left for short periods, he will stop barking. However, I can’t train this out of him unless there is some barking involved in the process.) My neighbours would like Little Bear gone, depsite all barking being limited to 10 minutes a day right now. (I haven’t left him alone longer than that)
I am looking for somewhere, preferably a basement suite, where Little Bear can bark, if needed, for a short time, during the training process. Within one month, this should be no concern at all. I am working with Little Bear to be able to leave him alone for 3 hour periods during the day, so if you are at work or school, you likely won’t hear him anyway! He’ll get his initial barking out, and calm down as soon as he sees that I’m returning to him at the end of the day. Soon, he’ll get comfortable with me leaving and stop barking altogether.
I very much hope I find someone who can help me out! Little Bear is very social and would love living in a space with others.
Thank you!
