Arlo

Hi! I’m Arlo, I’m a 25 year old French PhD student at Concordia studying Film and Moving Images. I moved from Paris not too long ago and am currently staying in Plateau –locations I’d be most interested in would be Saint-Henri or Hochelaga, but honestly I prioritise living with people I can hang out with and be comfortable around! My budget is about 700-800 CAD max, and I can be flexible about move-in date – basically need a place to stay by June 2025, but would be happy to leave my current flat sooner (flat is lovely but far from the metro and my university lol). Ideally looking for a flat with a renewable lease as I am meant to be staying in Montreal til at least 2030. I’ve been living in flatshares since I was 17 (in London and Glasgow), I like being around people and socialising, ie going out, having a chill one at the pub, or just hanging at the flat and cooking or having a movie night. Also like having my own space and respecting other people’s need for that so I’m very happy to have a balance between chatting shit and hanging out and being a gremlin in my room to recharge. In terms of living with people, I think communication and respect are key values – I tend to let a bit of chaos in my own space but I’m very careful in common areas and think it’s good for everyone to be responsible and respectful about the flat in general. I’m from Paris originally but have been moving around a bit – I love travelling and meeting new folk etc etc. In terms of hobbies, I love cinema and talking about cinema (horror in particular) and going to the movies, swimming, crafts (I make earrings @__wiredbyarlo on insta hihi), going to gigs (punk, psych rock, post-punk, HC punk…), reading, sometimes writing, going antique shopping, taking long main character-esque walks with a podcast or tunes on, and cooking!
