Hi, my name is Maria, and I’m looking for an unfurnished room starting July 1st. I have a max budget of $1200, and I am primarily looking in the East Van, Renfrew-Collingwood, and Brentwood areas, but I’m open to other areas that are close to Expo and Millenium line. I am only looking for places that are walking distance to a skytrain station and with a washer/dryer in the building (don’t want to have to go to a laundromat). The reason I am looking for somewhere new is because there are people in the house I live in with cats and I am allergic, so unfortunately anywhere with cats is a no go :(

While I am looking for a room, I am also totally down to team up with someone who is looking for similar things and find somewhere new together.

I need an unfurnished bedroom as I have my own full set of bedroom furnite. I have a full set of living room furniture that I can contribute, but if it doesn’t work in the any of the shared spaces I will just be getting rid of it. I also have a decent collection of kitchenware, but again I will just be getting rid of whatever doesn’t fit.

A bit about me, I am 25y/o Master’s student in Geology at SFU. I am definitely looking for a long term arrangement as I will be going to school for the next two years. I will be busy with school most days, either being on campus or working in my room, but I am always down to hang with roommates in common spaces outside of that. I cook very occasionally so I won’t be using the kitchen too often. I have been living in Vancouver with roommates for 4 years, I like to keep shared spaces very tidy and I am very flexible on cleaning schedules/responsibilites, I usually adapt to the cleaning style that my roommates will prefer. I do travel somewhat often for school and visiting family, especially in the summer.

Hobby-wise, I like outdoor activities such as running, hiking, biking, hanging at the beach etc. Not a huge partier or drinker but I do love going out to see concerts and shows in the evenings. I also do a lot of arts and crafts like knitting, sewing, painting, and more! I have a few houseplants as well so hopefully there are some windows.
