Hey!!!! My name is Kristina - I’m a 29 year old self proclaimed friendly cat lady.

A little about me:

I am currently renting an amazing unit in an older historic home located just outside of downtown and adore it!

While my current digs are amazing - my lease is coming up this spring as my wonderful landlords are renovating the home to move in & enjoy themselves!

Due to this, my current lease is just shy of a year and ends in May 2024!

Prior to my current short term rental - my leases have historically been long term and I would ideally like a space I can settle in for a longer period!

In terms of looking for a roommate - I lived with a gaggle of friends in my early 20’s who now have their own places with their partner, families, babies, dogs, and all the good things that come with adulthood - so it’s not as easy as it once was to just find a friend to cohabitate with!

I do work full time in a well established career - however the cost of living is just so dang high now a days so I’ve been trying to consider my options!

I currently work as a dermatology nurse for a clinic located in the SW. I’m usually at work during daytime hours Monday-Friday. Occasionally I’ll work the odd Saturday or a half day Friday etc, but typically it’s not uncommon for my days to be quite long with me not getting home until later in the evenings.

While I have only been with my current company for a bit more than a year, I spent approx. 8 years working with Alberta Health Services previously. I started off working as a Health Care Aide (or Nursing Assistant) while I finished school and most of my career has been spent working within mental health until recently when I decided to spread my metaphorical wings.

While at home, my idea of a good time is putting on comfy clothes and reading a spicy romance novel, snacking or cuddling on the couch binging a good series with my older indoor cats Hank and Willow. (They are both nurtured, are up to date on all their vaccinations etc. and very friendly).

Hank is an older man and will occasionally meow loudly in an attempt to trick you into second (or third) dinner and Willow is a sassy older gal who loooooves attention. They are overall very well behaved and sweet to be around.

They have lived with dogs successfully in the past, but likely wouldn’t do well with another cat unfortunately :(

That said I LOVE doggos and would be super happy to cohabitate with a human with a doggo!

I can confidently say that I am a quiet, considerate and thoughtful human whose idea of a fun Friday night, truly is staying home and relaxing on the couch.

I also love brunch, running errands, vintage/thrift shopping for home decor/oddities and hiking so many of my weekends are spent like this.

Most of my good pals live in far away places - so I wouldn’t be opposed to living with someone who enjoyed hanging and wanted to be friends.

I don’t smoke, vape or use THC. I rarely drink; however if I do - it is typically only socially while out and about with the odd friend or work party etc.

I don’t currently have a vehicle as I downsized following my breakup - so finding a place located downtown, inner city or extending as far south as Southland drive would be my preference in order to get to work. (I am working on looking at purchasing a vehicle, but my current rental is super close and easy to the train so it’s been good for now while I get back on my toes!)

I’d love to find a like-minded human to stretch my budget more to have things such as a dishwasher / in suite laundry as well as being in a more central location (crazy how much we take advantage of these creature comforts haha)

In terms of budget and move in - I am willing to be flexible for the right opportunity! I would prefer an unfurnished room at this time, but am open to sharing furnishings etc in common spaces!!!

It also goes without saying that I am of course that happy to provide proof of income along with employment and character references should you wanna do the thing!
