Looking in: Hamilton, ON.
Description
Hi Friends
Searching for a roommate to find a home with together. Currently living in a 1 bedroom apartment and as much as I love having my own space, I’m paying too much rent for what it’s worth and also feeling kinda lonely haha.
Ideal move in Date: October 1st (which is when my current lease ends) Budget: $1200, flexible. Location: Downtown Hamilton
I’m 22 years old. Queer Muslim Refugee here in Canada from Pakistan, born and raised in Dubai. Been in Canada for the last 5 years, Hamilton has been home for almost 4 of them. I graduated from Mohawk in June. I work 2 jobs now, Financial Coordinator at McMaster and Taproom Server at Merit Brewing so I won’t be home a lot. With that being said, I do LOVE having a social life. I’m a huge social butterfly, I love making sure that my home is a safe space for ALL with an open door policy. My social circle is very queer and diverse.
Things I NEED you to be acceptable about:
-
Me being a Muslim. My religion is a big part of my identity. I’d want a roommate who isn’t just okay with it, but cherishes it. I don’t eat pork, and I’m looking for a roommate who’s good with not cooking pork.
-
I’m a very sex positive person but hearing it drives me insane. I’m not going to be home a lot so if you could please live your best sex life then, I’d appreciate it. If you decide to do it while I’m at home, please closed door, music, just be considerate.
-
My friends coming over. Usually on weekends, but could happen on weekdays too. Again, I love having an open door policy and I love providing a safe space to all of my friends. If you’re a light sleeper, we’re likely not a good fit.
-
My 5 year old chonker cat Oreo. She’s the best cat ever but she hates other animals so if you have pets who also hate other animals then it won’t be a good fit.
-
I also believe in a Free Palestine. If you hold any other opinions, please don’t even bother.
If I seem like a good fit for you, please message me! Let’s get to know each other and discuss more.
Love, Bilal (they/he)
