Gabriel

Hi! My name is Gabriel Moyer, but you’re free to just call me Gabe (he/him). I’m a third year animation student at Algonquin College who loves stitching, craft work, plants (I have quite a few) and animals! I’ve lived in Ottawa full time since I was 19, during the school year since I was 18, and am very used to handling rent, utilities and sharing spaces on my own.

I’d prefer a private unit with my own amenities, but I’m fully willing to share.

I also would like to disclose I am a queer person, and would prefer to room with those who are queer/trans or queer friendly as I also have quite a few queer and trans friends.

I have experience caring and interacting with birds, cats and dogs, and I owned a hedgehog for awhile, so no matter what furry friend you have I’ll be fine living and interacting with them! I do not have any of my own pets at the moment.

I’m clean, introverted and quiet and spend most of my time working on either my school work or my visual arts commission work, as both are quite extensive.

I’ve also been told I’m a great cook, and I prep most of my meals in advance. I’m more than fine with sharing what I make as well! I’m largely pescatarian in terms of diet, but this isn’t strict, just happens to be the kind of food I steer most towards.

I also practice indigenous spirituality, which does involve saging, but I am completely fine keeping this practice confined to my own space for those with scent sensitivities. The smell + pungency of the smoke is similar to burning a scented candle or incense. It is very different from cigarette or cannabis smell.

I do occasionally use cannabis, but rarely smoke it. This usage would be contained to outside, or ceased in the case of those looking for someone who does not smoke. It is mostly therapeutic CBD usage.
