URGENT AID REQUEST:
Haii! My name is Lily (aka Lilith ;) I’m a 24 year old MtF enby transfemme (she/they). In urgent need of a room to live in near Toronto.
MY SITUATION:
For the past few months I’ve been couch surfing after escaping an abusive relationship. My current roommate’s mom wants to move back into the apartment so I have to move out by Sep 1st at the latest, though she wants me to have a place lined up by mid August. It’s rather short notice but there’s nothing I can do since I’m not on a lease there.
BUDGET:
Currently only $550 per month since I’m on Ontario Works (welfare) though I will likely be approved for ODSP in the next 3 months then I can pay a little more. I could try to find a work from home job eventually if you want that.
ABOUT ME:
I’m often told I give super chill vibes. I can mind my own business but also love good conversation, when I have the time. I always do my best not to get in anyone’s way, but i love helping however I can.
I’m tidy, always clean up after myself, and can cook simple meals to share. I’m easygoing and respect individual agency and privacy. I can give my previous roommate’s contact as a reference if needed.
In my free time I enjoy watching films & shows, and working on my passion projects, like music and writing. I’m usually very quiet, though I may occasionally be heard playing music, singing, or with friends/partners. However i can arrange my schedule so that it doesn’t interfere with yours.
IDEAL ROOMMATE:
I’m open to any roommate who can accept me for who I am, but bonus points if you’re queer, sex positive, artsy, or anti-establishment. Communication skills and reliability are important to me, as well as respecting boundaries I’m down to team up with people to find an apartment as well, as long as we get along and find a place that works for us.
ROOM:
I’d ideally have my own personal space, even if it’s just a living room partition, with my own small bed or couch.
